How Do You Stop Telemarketers From Calling Your Cell Phone?
May 08, 2020
This will be a very short but helpful blog.
Are you tired of your cell phone ringing at the most inopportune times? Me, too!
Like a dog sitting on a tack and howling, I finally got up to move and it took only a couple of minutes to fix the problem.
Call the National Do Not Call Registry, 1-888-382-1222, from the phone number you want to place on the list. Follow the quick prompts, pressing one for English type prompts, and get 'er done.
This call takes less than a minute or two and those calls will soon stop for good. If they don't, they tell you exactly how to take care of that, too.
Once you're registered, you don't have to register again. There's even a prompt on there to check and see if you have registered already, in case you forgot.
One more thing, if you entered your phone number in an opt-in somewhere when filling out for a free gift, you may have to contact that company directly to opt-out again. You basically told them it was okay to call or text you, so you overrode the Do Not Call List. Don't get mad at them. Just call or text them back and ask to be removed.
Hope this helps!
